SE Synod revamps disaster response plan
Excerpt: Last year the Southeastern Synod revamped its disaster response
plan. This included the recruitment and training of regionally located
volunteers who will assist congregations to prepare for disasters and
encourage networking within their communities with other disaster
preparedness efforts. These coordinators will work with the synod to enhance
communication and coordination in the event of a disaster and to help
congregations in their response.
